Open events

This session, jointly supported by York Alumni Engagement, will feature a panel of graduate alumni with master’s or PhDs, discussing their transition to a post-graduate career (outside of teaching) and the development of their professional endeavours. While discussing such practical matters as employers’ hiring practices, expectations, and how to leverage graduate degree knowledge and skills in the “alt-ac” world, they will also address when, during their degree studies and after, their thinking about their career possibilities shifted.
