Gina Csanyi-Robah, Canadian Romani Alliance

This workshop looks at a variety of achievements of Hungarian Romani Canadians, especially in the fields of art and music. Focusing on the many social, cultural and political achievements of Hungarian Romani Canadians, the workshop addresses ways in which Hungarian Romani Canadians continue to confront and overcome everyday discrimination—including racial slurs, stereotype-based questioning, social exclusion, and the systematic underestimation of Romani people in Canada.
